Commuter Flows ans Migration Flows

In co-operation with the Institute for Employment Research, Nuremberg, STASA has developed a method which captures in an appropriate way the complex relations between location factors, migration flows, wages and labor market development.

This multi-level approach allows a dynamic sampling of the labour market indicators up to the current edge of decision by combining GIS-analysis, cluster-analysis, modelling of migration flows, demography, commuter networks, and job market.

In addition to demographic effects and migration processes, the commuter network and the labour force participation rates are considered.
