Transport Planning


The STASA Tranport Model is able to describe the interrelations between regional structure on the one hand and the traffic system on the other hand. In different projects, e.g. in the European Union projects Transecon and Scatter, this dynamic, behaviour-oriented traffic and city development model has been further developed and applied. Traffic generation, traffic distribution and means of transport choice are accomplished thereby in one step.

Based on the STASA Tranport Model a calculation method has been developed for the economic evaluation of induced traffic. This method has been integrated into the Federal Transportation Master Plan (BVWP 2003).
