Prof. Dr. Günter Haag - Curriculum Vitae

Günter Haag studied engineering and physics at the University of Stuttgart (first-class degree Master Degree in 1975 and Dr.rer.nat. degree in 1978). He was visiting professor at the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland in 1982 and at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Vienna in 1990. The appointment to a university lectureship came in 1985 and in 1995 he was appointed APL professor for Theoretical Physics at the University of Stuttgart. In 1993 he became in addition managing director of the Institute for Applied Economic Research, Tuebingen. After two years he founded the Steinbeis Transfer Centre Applied System Analysis (STASA) in Stuttgart. Since 2005 he is also Managing Director of the Steinbeis Applied System Analysis GmbH. He is member of different international working groups and has initiated and leaded several projects in the field of urban and regional development and transport theory. More than 100 publications in international journals, 6 books.
